A good place to see migrating waterfowl. There is a two mile hiking trail with viewing huts and platform and a 5 mile driving route. Both are good, the driving route may see more birds. In Dec. the birds lift off at dusk to feed in farmer's fields, a sight to behold.

Nice auto tour plus opportunities to walk. Has three viewing "hides". Fee for use. Must now start buying pass on line, daily or annual. Good at many state fish and wildlife lands.

Beautiful. Peaceful. Must see. Picturesque.

Gray Lodge is an amazing place for winter bird watching! There is nothing else like it for miles around. The concentration of wintering geese, ducks is amazing. Plus the regular residents like Herons, bitterns, etc. is well worth the trip. I have seen great horned owls, bald eagles, green herons, bitterns, yellow throats, it is a great stop for anyone interested in bird watching. There are designated areas, some for those who like to hunt ducks and areas for those who like to watch wildlife.

Best place to see wintering waterfowl. You can hunt, fish, hike, and take tours
